About Us Sheldon is a 26 year old Property Manager at one of the largest real estate companies in New York City. Emily is 24 and works for a classical music management compay in New York City. We are both very involved in our church and enjoy exploring New York City, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Thank you for visiting our site. See you at the wedding! How We Met We have the ultimate story of online dating. We found each other on match.com about a month before Emily moved to New York in May 2006. We traded emails and got to know each other through sharing stories and jokes, and we met one week after Emily moved to NYC. We had our first date at the Boat Basin Cafe in Manhattan overlooking the Hudson River, followed by a walk along the piers. The very next day we made plans to see each other again, and we have been inseperable ever since! Our Engagement We decided in about January 2007 that we should take a trip to Rome, Italy, sometime in the spring. No apparent reason, just for fun. Sheldon had been to Rome several times before on a study abroad and for an archaeological dig. It was Emily's first trip to the Eternal City. We were very fortunate to arrange a home exchange online with another couple in Rome. We visited many different sites all over Rome and traveled to Venice and Florence as well. Near the end of our magical trip we had dinner at the rooftop of the Hassler Hotel in Rome. A beautiful backdrop of the city at sunset provided for one of the most romantic moments of our lives. During the meal Sheldon got down on one knee and asked Emily to marry him. Of course she said yes, and the place erupted in applause.
Bridesmaids Navanjali Jagatpal Vanji is a best friend of the bride. Vanji is an artist and teaches art to young children. She currently lives in Wilmington, Delaware. Renee Ballentine Renee Ballentine is the sister-in-law of the bride. She and her husband Nate (also a groomsman) live in Richmond, Virginia. Renee works as public school teacher in the Richmond area. Liza Anne Ballentine Liza Anne is a cousin to the bride. She currently attends Eastern Tennessee State University. She is a Psychology major and a member of Kappa Delta....... Parents of the Bride Andy & Patty Ballentine Andy & Patty Ballentine are parents of the bride. Andy is the pastor at St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Williamsburg, Virginia. Patty is a music teacher at Walsingham Academy in Williamsburg.		Groomsmen Brent Erb Brent Erb is the younger brother of the groom. Brent currently works as a advertising director for Mountain Living Magazine in Denver, Colorado. Nate Ballentine Nate Ballentine is the older brother of the bride. He and his wife Renee (also a bridesmaid) live in Richmond, VA. Nate works in human resources. Nate Patrick Nate Patrick is a best friend of the groom. They met in college at the Univ. of Colorado. Nate lives in Phoenix, Arizona, with his wife Michelle, and works as a project manager. Parents of the Groom Larry & Emile Erb Larry & Emilie Erb are the parents of the groom and live in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. Larry works for ING Group and Emilie works for Visa. Debby Pelter Debby Pelter is the mother of the groom. Debby works in Denver, Colorado, for Colony Insurance Group.
Ring Bearer Issac Fry is the Ring Bearer in our wedding. He is the son of Sheldon's cousin Chris Fry. Issac is 4 years old and lives in Colorado.
